Summertime!  What better way to top off any food festival than having a beautiful display of Classic Cars?  Following the success and tremendous feedback from 2009's car showing, we are pleased to bring our festival-goers the SFE Classic Car Show.  This year's SFE Classic Car Show will be treated as a separate event along with SFE's Int'l Language of Laughter and the SFE Youth Olympics.

The show will have an open registration to the public, with our deadline set at July 15, 2010, welcoming many different Car Clubs to participate.  Registration will be open for up to 40 Classic Car Owners to showcase their vehicles and we are expecting all slots to be taken.  Idaho's own This N That Car Club will be in attendance with beautiful cars from the 50's, 60's, and 70's on display for our supporters appreciation.   This N That Car Club is one of the most respected Car Clubs on the West Coast. 

The SFE Classic Car Show will begin at 11 a.m., concurrent with the Soul Food Festival.  Cars will be lined along Julia Davis' southwest roadway, by the Bandshell area (Map Attached).  Cars will be parked randomly and spectators will be allowed the opportunity to vote, submit comments, and remark on the vehicles.  Cars will be judged and awarded in the following areas:

            -Classic 50's

            -Classic 60's

            -Classic 70's

            -Best Car In Show

            -Best Truck In Show

            -Best Interior

            -Most Original

            -Best Paint Job

            -Best Engine

            -Best Chevy

As a separate event The SFE Classic Car Show is expected to draw several thousand in attendance.  Over the past years SFE has had Classic Cars at the Soul Food Festival, but this is the first year we are organizing and controlling it as it's own “event within the event”.  At 5 PM ballots will be counted and the winners of the show announced, awards distributed.
