Our African American Mission in Boise Idaho

The mission of the Soul Food Extravaganza is to increase the awareness of African American culture represented in the Treasure Valley Community through a shared, enlightening, entertaining, and educational experience, while supporting charitable causes in our community.

The goals of the Soul Food Extravaganza are:

• To celebrate the rich traditions of the Treasure Valley's African American community with our neighbors and friends of all cultures.
• To increase awareness of African American history and culture through art, entertainment, culinary demonstrations, literature, games, fashion and the dissemination of information.
• To promote increased racial understanding in a family-oriented, entertaining environment.

In keeping with the tradition of community service which has been a hallmark of the SFE, all net proceeds will benefit local charities and non-profit organizations.
